We knew there had to be some sacrifices made living in a tiny home, but these tiny home perks make us feel like we haven’t sacrificed much.
Some of the cool features include:
- Beautiful stained cedar shiplap exterior paneling.
- The custom utility box we built for storage and propane holding.
- Wheel well storage.
- Custom hardwood floor.
- Stairs and storage. (including bike storage)
- Two lofts.
- The kitchen!
- Many shelves
- cool Engel fridge
- Rinnai tankless hot water heater
- Sliding bathroom door.
- Bathroom
- Shower, urinal, and composting toilet, Whisper Value fan, etc.
- Electrical plugs.
- Windows, windows, windows! (Eight of them to be exact)
Each tiny house on wheels tends to be unique to its owners. We took things that we knew were important to us, like showering together and multi-functional space in the kitchen, and made sure to include those things in the design. In future posts, we will go more in-depth into these unique amenities and hope you enjoy learning about the ins and outs of our new tiny house!

The DIY Tiny House idea started in 2014. A complete DIY process, Will and Alicia did everything themselves from drawing up the plans, building the framework, electrical, plumbing, and finishing touches and appliance selections.
Over several years, they documented what it was like to live in a Tiny House, conducting very thorough research on how to solve the many issues and problems which come up. In 2019, they sold their Tiny House as their lives continued to evolve and change.
